A lot of you are now hearing rumors about the future of Bigsbys Cafe.

Indeed,  we are closing our doors at the end of March after 21 years of service.

We are very grateful for the time you allowed us into your lives:  sharing stories over a bowl of Dan's beer cheese soup, getting the latest gossip over a cup of coffee with Tammy, commenting on the spiciness of a dish thanks to Pily slipping that extra jalepeno into the recipe, and sharing all your family recipe and garden stories with me.  As you can imagine there are many great memories that we will take with us, and we hope you will all do the same.

Bigsby’s is a relaxing cafeteria style eatery, with seasonal sidewalk dining.

We brew Caribou coffee, serve hot breakfasts, homemade soups and salads,    deli sandwiches, subs, burgers, grilled sandwiches, ice cream and desserts.

Our boxed lunch catering includes specialty salads and sandwiches. We also deliver hot entrees, party trays, pizzas and more.

Our location is at 701 4th Ave. South. We are two blocks south of the Government Plaza Light Rail Station, beneath the eastern loop of the Minneapolis Skyway.

The 701 Building is a honeycomb like futuristic design by Chicago based Architect Helmut John. It sits on the site that once belonged to Charlie’s Café Exceptionale.
